TeamMemberPerformanceMetric#4:Initiative Employeeswhoaskforhelporjumpinwhentheyseehelpisneededaretheonesthatshowinitiative—andanemployeewhoshowsinitiativeisasignofteamsatisfactionandengagement. Lookingatteammemberswhotakeinitiativeisalsoimportantforrapidlygrowingbusinessesthatrequirepeoplewhocanadaptandbeproactive.Initiative-takingisdefinitelyadifficultmetrictomeasure.Agoodplacetostartwouldbebykeepingtrackofthetimesyouseeateammembertakinginitiative,butalsocanbeapartofyourperformancereviewswithself,peer,ormanagerratings.  TeamMemberPerformanceMetric#5:Quality Thequalityofworkyouremployeesputoutisperhapsthemostimportantmetric,butitcanalsobethemostdifficult—andsubjective—todefine.Teammemberswhocareaboutwhattheydoandareengagedatworkwilllikelyperformbetter,andit’sagoodideatorecognizetheirachievements. Productivityismorecomplexthansimplylookingatthenumberofsalescallsputoutorthenumberofblogpostspublished.Howmanymeaningfulconnectionsdidyoursalespersonactuallymakewiththosenewleads?Howmuchofyourcontentactuallygetsviewedandsharedbyyouraudience?Onesuggestionistomeasuretheamountofworkthatgetsrejectedorneedstoberedoneasaproxyforthequalityofwork,butit’sbesttopickanddesignthemethodthatsuitsyourbusiness.
