Aprofessionalcertificationistypicallyalotmoreeconomicalthanacollegedegree.Whereaprofessionalcertificationcanrunanywherefrom$5,000to$15,000,acollegedegreetypicallycoststwotothreetimesthatamount.Onadollarfordollarbasis,aprofessionalcertificationmaymakealotmoresense.Theeconomicsofearningaprofessionalcertificationmakeevenmoresensewhenyouconsiderthatmanyprofessionalcertificationsthesedayscanbecompletedinjustayearortwoandcanprepareyouforacareerjustaseffectivelyasamoreexpensive"traditional"four-yearcollegedegree.
