ThisusestheBildungscampusasareallaboratoryforthedata-supporteddevelopmentandtestingofsmartandinnovativeservicesandbusinessmodels.Withintheprotectedframeworkofasemi-publicspace,solutionsrelevanttocampusactors,businessandpublicadministrationareworkedonjointlyusingco-creativeformatsandmethods. ©AdobeStock–nutawut ―CO-CREATIVESERVICEDEVELOPMENT TheSmartCampusInitiativeseesitselfasacross-institutionalprojectplatformthroughwhichstudents,staff,campusmanagement,(utility)companies,andcityandregionaladministrationsworktogetherondata-basedservicestoimprovecampusandcitylife.Withthehelpofco-creativeformatsandmethodswesupporttheactorsinusingthepotentialofdatatodevelopnewservices,improveexistingonesandbuildfirstprototypes.Co-creativemeansthattheactorsarestronglyinvolvedintheservicedevelopmentprocessandworktogethercollaboratively. ―PILOTINGONTHECAMPUS Thesolutionsdevelopedarethentestedoncampusandtheiraddedvaluescientificallyanalysed.Thefirststepfocusesonservicesthatincreasecampuscomfort.Forexample,wearecurrentlyworkingontheimplementationofanARapplicationforbetternavigationoncampusandonamodelforforecastingwaitingtimesinthecanteen. ©FraunhoferIAO,verändertnachRolandHalbeundFotolia–Ovsianka ©AdobeStock–EberhardSpaeth ―TRANSMISSIONTOCITYANDREGION Inthesecondstep,utilityservicesareconsideredwhicharerelevant,forexample,foranurbansociety.Thesesolutionswillbetestedoncampusunderscientificsupervisionand,aftersuccessfulpilottesting,transferredtourbanareas.Forexample,afterthetestphaseoncampus,themodelforforecastingwaitingtimesinthecanteencouldinfuturebeusedincitizens’officesinordertocontrolpublictrafficmorespecifically. ―INFRASTRUCTURE Viabuilt-insensorsonthecampusarea,own(non-personal)dataiscollectedandfedintoanOpenDataPortal.Theseareenrichedwithexternaldataandmadefreelyavailabletoallstakeholders.Aphysicallaboratoryprovidestheoptimalconditionsforworkingonnewprototypes,data-basedservicesandbusinessmodelsinsemesterprojectsandworkshops.Sincealargepartofthelaboratoryconsistsofmobileelements,itcanalsobesetupoutsidetheBildungscampusandusedbyactorsintheregion. ©FraunhoferIAO ©ConceptSeven.Allrightsreserved.
