RegisteringasanIndependentstudent–ThisappliesifyouhavenotyetsecuredatrainingagreementwithanICAEWATE.YouwouldbeunabletogainanypracticalworkexperienceasanindependentstudentuntilyouhavesecuredanICAEWtrainingagreement.Independentstudentsarerequiredtofundtheirownstudiesandtheirregistrationfeemustbepaiduponregisteringandmustbepaidonacalendaryearlybasis.Inordertocompleteyourregistration,youmustalsoemailcopiesofyourqualificationstoapplications@icaew.com. Creditforpriorlearning(CPL) TheACAcomprisesof15examssplitoverthreelevels:theCertificatelevel,ProfessionallevelandtheAdvancedlevel.AsanACCAstudentoraffiliateyoumaybeexemptfromupto12oftheseexamsbyapplyingforCreditforPriorLearning(CPL). CurrentlyACCAstudentsandaffiliatesareabletoclaimcreditsfreeofchargeprovidingtheycompleteregistrationbeforemakingaCPLapplication.PleasenotethatICAEWcanwithdrawthisofferatanytime. Toseewhatcreditsyoumaybeeligiblefor,pleasevisitCPLdirectory. Youcanapplyforthecreditsonlineandreducethecosttozerobyusingthediscountcodeslocatedonourwebsite,youwillberequiredtoattachyourACCAtranscriptstoyourapplication.  Practicalworkexperience(PWE) Inadditiontotheexams,youmustalsocompletepracticalworkexperienceatanICAEWauthorisedtrainingemployer(ATE),aswellascoveringEthicsandProfessionalDevelopmentTraining. AsanACCAstudentoraffiliate,ifyouhavehadpreviousworkexperienceatanICAEWATEwithinthelasttwoyears,youmaybeentitledtoclaimcreditforpriorworkexperience(CPWE)forupto12months,potentiallyreducingyourtrainingrequirementto24months.  Youcanfindmoreinformationhere.
