WhereIfoundOxfordSeminarsreallyshinedwastheirJobPlacementserviceafterreceivingmycertification.WhenIfinallydecidedtomakethebigjumpinNovemberof2017andrequestedaidforaplacement,myadvisor(namelyRowan)assistedmeeverystepoftheway,includingreviewingandeditingmyresume/coverletter,sendingmyapplicationonmybehalftovariousagenciesinaccordancetomypreferences.Assuch,Iwasconnectedtoagreatagency(KoreanHorizons)andwasplacedtoanamazingschoolinSouthKorea2monthslater.MyadvisorcontinuedcommunicationsuntilIwassuccessfullyplaced.Itaughtatthesameschoolfor3years(March2018-March2021)andhadthemostwonderfultimethere.Bestyet,theJobPlacementserviceisonceagainassistingmeinmynextjourney. Itrulyrecommendthiscourseandcompanyfornewteachersneedingasolidplacetostarttheirteachingabroadjourney. Asfortheplacementservice,asImentioned,Isawthisasabonus.Infact,Iwassurprisedbythefollowuptheyofferedandfoundthattheywereaninvaluableadditiontomyownsearch.Thisisakeypoint,though:don’tleaveitalluptothem;keepsearchingonyourown.They’retheretohelpbutnotnecessarilytoholdyourhandanddoitallforyou.Thatsaid,IfoundthatalltheagentsIworkedwithwerehelpfulanddidtheirbesttomeetmydemands,thoughIalsodidmybesttokeepthesereasonableandrealistic(anotherkeypieceofadviceIcanoffer).I’vedonethreeyearsnow,inthreedifferentschools,intwoseparatecountries,andthoughOxforddidn’talwaysfindmemycontracts,theywerealwayshelpfulthroughouteverysearch.Andthey’reinmycorneragainasIlookforafourthcontract(thoughIalsocheckboardsmyselfeverysingleday.
