Whatdogunshave?PunchThrough.It'sastatthatallowsweaponstohitsomethingelsethat'sdirectlyinthelineoffire,whichisusefulbecausewithoutitdeadbodiescanblockshotsmeantforenemiesbehindthem.Howeveronlyabout10%ofgunsactuallyhavethisstatatbase.BowsandSnipersgetit,althoughbowsonlywhenyoufullychargetheshot,butthevastmajorityofpistols,rifles,shotgunsandthrownweaponsactuallyhavetomodthissloton. Addinginastattosupplementthefactthat80%ofgunshavenowayofhittingmorethanoneenemyatatime,inagamewithasmanyon-screenenemiesasWarframe?Justmakesalittlesense. ThenextexampleisthatMeleecanampupitsdamagewithoutasingleregularmodequippedbecausetheyhaveStances.Stancesmakeanimation-basedmulti-hits,theymakecertainattacksdealdifferentamountsofdamage,theyguaranteestatuseffects(likeNikanascandoguaranteedBleedprocsontheirHeavyAttacks,whichishugewhenbuiltfor)orRapierscantoaguaranteedprocofBleedjustforhittingtheneutralmeleebuttononce. Gunsdonothaveanythinglikethat, InsteadwegotArcanes.TheystackuplikeaComboCounter,basedonthekillsweget,andbasedonthedifferentmethodswegetthem.Exceptyouneedtogoandgetanitemtounlockthis,whereMeleehastheirstancebydefault,andonceyouhaveityoudon'tgetanymoreCapacity,becauseMeleeStancesalladd10ModPointCapacity. ArcanesshouldhavebeentheequivalentofMeleeStances. IncreaseModPointCapacity,changetheactualbehaviourofgunsbasedonwhatyou'redoing(hipfire,aiming,hipfirewhilemoving,aimingwhilemoving,aimgliding...)andcausecertainactionstohaveguaranteedresults. Imaginehowgoodastanceforasemi-autoriflewouldbeinsteadofPrimaryDeadHead;thisstancebuffsbasedamage(justthewayaStancedoes)forAimingwhilestationary,keepsitcompletelyneutralforhipfire,reducesitslightlybutinsteadincreasesfireratewhilemovingandhipfiring,andthenmassivelyslowsfirerate,butmassivelybuffsdamagewhileAimGliding.And,becausethiswouldbetheDeadHeadStance,yougetadditionaldamageforheadshots,andheadshotkillswouldgiveyouaguaranteedeffect,liketheArcane'sbonusestoRecoil. You'dneednoanimations,butthegunwouldbeinstantlymorepowerful,justlikeStancesdo.Heck,withaStanceyoucouldevenbringinPrimaryFinishers(likewesawwithKahlatTennocon).
