定義：為傳輸資料所需要的物理鏈路建立、維持、拆除，而提供具有機械的，電 子的，功能的和規範的特性。

簡單地說，實體層確保原始的資料可在各種物理媒 體上傳輸。

6. 資料鏈結層（DataLinkLayer） 在兩個網路實體之間提供資料鏈路連線的建立、維持和釋放管理。

構成資料鏈路 資料單元（frame：資料影格或訊框），並對影格定界、同步、收發順序的控制。

傳輸過程中的流量控制，差錯檢測和差錯控制等方面。

只提供導線的一端到另 一端的資料傳輸。

7. 網路層（NetworkLayer） 網路層是OSI模型中的第三層。

網路層提供路由和尋址的功能，使兩終端系統能 夠互連且決定最佳路徑，並具有一定的擁塞控制和流量控制的能力。

TCP/IP協 議體系中的網路層功能由IP協議規定和實現，故又稱IP層。

網路層除判斷訊息的位址外，另外還負責轉譯這個位址為實體位址(即網路卡位 址)，以便可以在區域網路中傳送到目的地。

8. 傳輸層（TransportLayer） 是OSI中最重要、最關鍵的一層，亦是唯一負責總體的資料傳輸和資料控制的一 層。

傳輸層提供端到端的交換資料的機制，檢查封包編號與次序。

對其上三層如會話層等，提供可靠的傳輸服務，對網路層提供可靠的目的地站點 資訊。

主要負責確保資料無誤並將資料做適當包裝。

9. 應用層（Applicationlayer） 是七層OSI模型的第七層，負責提供各種服務給應用程式，使其能夠使用系統之 連結功能來達到和其他應用程式交換資料的目的。

換言之，應用層提供了使用者 或使用者程式與網路溝通的介面。

有了最高層的應用層，使用者才能存取網路，就像應用軟體和通信處理之間提供 使用者使用網路的介面。

10. 網際網路協議套組(TCP/IP) ●是一個網路通訊模型，以及一整個網路傳輸協定家族，為網際 網路的基礎通訊架構。

它常被通稱為TCP/IP協定族（英語： TCP/IPProtocolSuite，或TCP/IPProtocols），簡稱 TCP/IP。

●這個協定家族的兩個核心協議，包括TCP（傳輸控制協定）和 IP（網際協定），為這個家族中最早通過的標準。

由於在網路 通訊協定普遍採用分層的結構，當多個層次的協定共同工作時， 類似計算機科學中的堆疊，因此又被稱為TCP/IP協定棧（英 語：TCP/IPProtocolStack）。

11. 網際網路協議套組(TCP/IP) ●TCP/IP提供了點對點的連結機制，將資料應該如何封裝、 定址、傳輸、路由以及在目的地如何接收，都加以標準 化。

●它將軟體通信過程抽象化為四個抽象層，採取協議堆疊 的方式，分別實作出不同通信協定。

●協定套組下的各種協議，依其功能不同，被分別歸屬到 這四個階層之中，常被視為是簡化的七層OSI模型。

12. NetBEUI ●NetBEUI是IBM由NetBIOS發展,改良出的協定,它 也是Microsoft早期網路產品內定使用的協定，它 提供最原始的NetBIOS通訊服務，早期的 NetBIOS是組單體協定堆疊，在WindowsNT則演 變成一應用程式介面，不含協定堆疊部份。

●NetBEUI由一套NetBIOS介面及一組NBF(NetBIOS Frame)傳輸協定所組成,NetBIOS介面專供 NetBIOS應用程式呼叫之用，實際的資料傳送則 由下層的NBF協定進行。

13. 動態主機配置協定(DHCP) ●DHCP是可自動將IP位址指派給登入TCP/IP 網路的用戶端的一種軟體(這種IP位址稱為 「動態IP位址」)。

●這種軟體通常是在路由器及其他網路設備上 執行的。

依照預設，你的GateLock路由器設 定為使用DHCP，因此您無須手動指派永久IP 位址給網路上的每個設備。

14. 檔案傳輸協定(FTP) ●用於在網路上進行檔案傳輸的一套標準協議。

它屬於網 路傳輸協定的應用層。

●FTP是一個8位元的客戶端-伺服器協定，能操作任何型別 的檔案而不需要進一步處理，就像MIME或Unicode一樣。

●FTP有著極高的延時，這意味著，從開始請求到第一次接 收需求資料之間的時間，會非常長；並且不時的必須執 行一些冗長的登陸行程。
