TheceremonywasdeliveredandwitnessedinthepresenceofMr.Jean-FrançoisCasabonne-Masonnave,theDirectorofBureauFrançais,Mr.JérômeBove,AttachéforScienceandUniversityCooperation,Ms.SashaTing,DeputyAttachéandMs.AntoinetteNeyra,ProjectManagerforScienceandUniversityCooperation.NationalTaipeiUniversityrepresentativescomprisedDr.Chen-JaiLee,thePresidentofNTPU,Dr.Dar-HsinChen,VicePresident,Dr.Wen-ILin,DeanofOfficeofInternationalAffairs,Dr.Pei-FangLi,DirectorofInternationalRelationsofCollegeofBusinessandDr.JosefKuo-HsunMa,DirectorofInternationalStudentsDivisionofOIA. PresidentLeeexpressedhisappreciationtoMr.Jean-FrançoisCasabonne-MasonnaveandtheBureauFrançaisdeTaipei(BFT)fortheirlong-standingsupporttoNTPU.HesaidthatFranceandTaiwanhavecultivatedalong-termfriendshipoverthepastdecadesandhavemaintainedclosetiesinthefieldsofculture,education,humanrights,science,andtechnology.Mr.Jean-FrançoisCasabonne-Masonnave,DirectoroftheBFT,emphasizedthatFrancewashopingtointensifyacademicexchangeswithNTPU,includingstaffvisits,lectures,jointlaboratoryprojects,andFrench-Taiwanacademia-industrycollaboration. Heencouragedthestudentstogooverseasandhaveashort-termlivingexperience.“Travelingistheeducationofyoungpeople.”Mr.Casabonne-Masonnaveindicatedthattravelingisnotonlyleisurebutalsoanexperienceinitself.Youngpeoplecantakeadvantageofittolivemanyuniqueexperiences. Duringthesigningceremony,theInternationalOfficeinvitedstudentswhohavelivedinFrancetosharetheirexperiences.Theyshowedavideopresentationofseveralexchangeanddoctoral-degreestudentscurrentlystudyinginFrance.TwoPh.D.students,Mr.Yi-ChungTsaiandMs.Yi-tingChen,whoarestudyingintheFacultyofLawattheAix-MarseilleUniversity,expressedthatFranceisaverysuitablecountrytostudy.TsaisharedthattheadministrativelawinFrancehadalonghistoryofdevelopment.Therefore,therehavebeenawidevarietyofresourcesforhimduringtheresearchprocess.Ms.Yi-tingChensaidthatFrancehasacomfortableandpleasantenvironmentwitharichculturalheritage.SheencouragedyoungstudentstoliveinFranceandbroadentheirhorizons. TheprogramwillofferfreeflightticketsperyearforuptofiveNTPUstudentstojoinstudentexchangeordouble-degreeprogramsinoneofNTPUpartnerschoolsinFrance.ThescholarshipsalsoincludethereductionorexemptionofvisafeesandinsurancecoverageduringtheirstayinFrance.WeencourageallstudentstoapplyforexchangeordegreeprogramsinFrance!SYSTEM.NEWS.閱讀全文aboutNTPUandBureauFrançaisdeTaipeisignedanMOUtojointlysupportascholarshipprogramMs.MurashiimafromJapan-TaiwanAssociationgivesaspeechinNTPUNovember5,2021JapanhashadcloseexchangeswithTaiwanrecently.InApril,thenewlyappointedMinisterofthePressandCultureDepartmentoftheTaipeiOfficefromJapan-TaiwanExchangeAssociation,IkuraMurashima,visitedNTPU.Duetothat,thebridgeoffriendshipbetweenNTPUandtheassociationhasbecomemorestable.Therefore,onOctober26thisyear,theAsianandPan-PacificResearchCenterandtheHaishanResearchCenterinvitedMs.Murashimatogiveaspeechforourteachersandstudentswhoareinterestedin"JapanTaiwanExchangeAssociationandtherecentJapan-Taiwanrelations."   Inresponsetotheanti-epidemicpolicy,only80studentscanparticipateinperson.Inordertoletotherstudentstakepartintheevent,theResearchCentersusedlivestreamingonsocialmediatobroadcastMs.Murashima’sspeech. ThekeynotespeechwasopenedbyVicePresidentTsai,whohadhadmanyacademicexchangeswithJapan-TaiwanExchangeAssociationduringhisstudentdays.VicePresidentTsaifirstmentionedtherecentdiverseinteractionsbetweenJapanandTaiwan.Inadditiontothevariousgovernment-to-governmentmeasuresforepidemicpreventionandagriculturalproductdistribution,theexchangesbetweenTaiwaneseandJapanesepeoplehavenotstoppedduetotheepidemic.HealsothankedMs.MurashimaforcomingtoNTPUagain.   Atfirst,Ms.MurashimapatientlyaskedeachstudentabouttheiracademicexperienceinChinese,andthenadjustedthecontentofthespeechaccordingtotheanswersofthestudents.InadditiontointroducingthepositioningandworkcontentoftheJapan-TaiwanExchangeAssociation,shealsosharedhercareerstory,tellingaudiencehowshebecomeafemalediplomatfromanurse.Moreover,becausemoststudentsarefromthedepartmentofhistory,whendiscussingtherecentrelationsbetweenJapanandTaiwan,Ms.MurashimaspeciallymentionedtheconstructionthatJapanbuiltinTaiwanduringtheJapanesecolonialperiod.   Theresponsefromthestudentswasalsoveryenthusiastic.Theyaskedmanyquestions,suchasMs.Murashima'sviewsonthenormalizationofJapan-Taiwanrelations,theJapanesegovernment'sviewsonTaiwan'sreferendumonnuclearfoodimport,andthedifficultiesMs.Murashimafacedasafemalediplomat.WhentalkingabouttheissueoffoodinNortheastJapan,Ms.Murashimasaidthatregardlessoftheresultofthereferendum,theJapanesegovernmentrespectsthechoiceoftheTaiwanesepeople.AlthoughshehasseensomescholarslinktheissueoffoodimportsfromFukushimatowhetherTaiwancanjointheCPTPP,shebelievesthatthisissuewillnot,andshouldnotbethekeyfactorthateffectwhetherTaiwancanentertheCPTPP.   Finally,thespeechendedsuccessfullyat12.          SYSTEM.NEWS.閱讀全文aboutMs.MurashiimafromJapan-TaiwanAssociationgivesaspeechinNTPUProfessorChen-JaiLeepaidavisittoMr.BudiSantosoOctober21,2021ProfessorChen-JaiLee,thePresidentofNationalTaipeiUniversitypaidavisittoMr.BudiSantoso,theheadoftheIndonesianEconomicandTradeOfficetoTaipei(IETO)onOctober19,2021,accompaniedbyProfessorWen-ILin,theDeanoftheOfficeofInternationalAffairsofNTPUandDr.Huan-ChanShih,theDirectorofTaiwan-IndonesiaEnvironmentalChangeandLandResourceManagementResearchCenter. Mr.Adila,theDirectorofTourismandTransportationDepartmentofIETOalsoattendedthemeeting. PresidentLeeindicatedthatNTPUenjoyedcloserelationswithallitspartnersinIndonesia,andlookedforwardtocontinuingamorecomprehensivedevelopmentofbilateralrelationswiththeminthespheresofacademicresearchandexchange,landresourcessurveyandmeasurementtechnology,andculturalactivities.ProfessorWen-ILinmentionedthatNTPUhassignedMoUwithseveralUniversitiesinIndonesia,includingUI,UAI,BinusUniversity,UniversityMuhammadiyahPonorogo、Surabaya、Metro,andHamka,andhadmanyin-depthcollaborationswiththem.Forexample,NTPUhadanonlineMoUsigningCeremonyandakeynotelecturewiththeUniversityofAlAzhar(UAI)inJanuary2021andsharedhowtwonationsrespondedtotheCOVID-19.Theyalsohostaseriesofonline-lecturewithBinusUniversity.Theeventincludedthreelecturestalkingaboutartificialintelligence,computervision,andfuturecityplanning.Astheyreceivedpositivefeedbackfrombothsides,theyhavedecidedtocontinuetheonlinelectureindifferentareas.Inthefuture,NTPUwouldsparenoefforttopromoteinternationalcollaborativeresearchprojectswithitspartneruniversities,inthehopetoextenddifferentkindsofpossibilities.Inadditiontoacademicresearch,thenumberofIndonesianstudentshasbeenincreasingsignificantlybyalmost80%forthepastthreeyears.MostofthemarebusinessorMBAmajors,andsomeofthemstudyEngineeringandUrbanGovernance.NTPUwouldcontinuetoprovidescholarshipstoencourageIndonesianstudentstoachieveacademicgoalsandtosupporttheirlifeinTaiwan. Mr.SantotorespondedthatTaiwanhasbeenafriendlycountrytoIndonesians,andhepraisedthequalityofteachingandresearchofTaiwan'shighereducation.HesuggestedthatNTPUregularlyprovideinformationabouttheUniversity,internationalprograms,andscholarshipstoIETO,andgetinconnectionwiththeIndonesianstudents'alumniassociationstoassurethevisibilityofNTPU.Besides,hewouldbehappytosupporttheculturalactivitiesplannedbyNTPU.
